Can't say I followed the BSYTYCD community that closely, but am I right in sensing that they're less fans of the TV show and more fans of DANCE? IOW, I love SYTYCD, but couldn't care less about dancing in general. So, like, because of that, I wouldn't fit in, not unless I faked it.

ReplyDeleteEver since I was a kid and I saw Nureyev jump about twenty feet in the air, I've loved dance. I might even have been a dancer, but I never could pick up the timing and the steps. I was the cheerleader jumping when I should have been landing, the majorette who was tossing when I should have been catching.
I do love the ballet, though.
See the post above this one. Apparently, the final four got an unscheduled day off when Josh and Twitch both had to be treated for dehydration. If they're not dancing as well as they have, will it hurt their chances at this point, or have people made up their minds?
ReplyDeleteUm, that first routine of Tabitha and Napoleon's sucked. And what's with putting Courtney in frumpy pajamas? That costume looks like what I wear on laundry day, when everything else I own is dirty.

ReplyDeleteWas Katee shaking during that dance with Joshua? She looks really tired. Great dance, though. I'm loving John Mayer, for this song and "Dreaming with a Broken Heart." Did Joshua just have trouble pulling his face into a smile?
They all look like they're in the last leg of a marathon.
Katee and Courtney: what Nigel said. It seemed obvious to me, watching them together, that Katee is the more skilled of the two.
ReplyDeleteIf Twitch wasn't in the show, he'd be in the Navy, he says. I'm with Nigel on this one, too. Have we seen any of Twitch's family this season? Seems like we've seen everyone else's.
Twitch and Joshua's routine is a hoot.

I love Katee and Joshua together. They're my favorite pair. Loved Katee's solo.
ReplyDeleteWhoever edits those retrospectives must work their butts off, pouring through hours and hours of film, to come up with those montages each week.
During Katee and Josh's Lyrical Jazz piece earlier—which was gorgeous—was the cameraman on stage with them? It seemed to be right on top of them. It looked like that in Katee and Twitch's Foxtrot, too, but then the camera would pan around them, and it's only the dancers onstage.
Yay, Josh. That was a great solo. Totally cheeky. Loved Cat teasing him about crying, too.
ReplyDeleteI love Nigel still giving Courtney and Joshua pointers, because he wants to help them improve, and everyone who wants one or the other of them to win is probably thinking, "Shut up, shut up, shut up!"
